The Captain, Mike McCulloch, is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed 50 Ton Master. Mike and his wife, Leilani, are the owners and operators of the boat Holopono. From the beginning, the boat was engineered to be a champion; CABO uses the best components available in the construction of their boats; in many cases, they fabricate their own parts, because there is often no supplier that meets their standards. Every part of the boat is carefully maintained, including the engines, shaft alignment couplings, shaft seals and shaft log boots, hynautic steering and controls systems.
